Today my group had reading. We had to pick a task card and learn about it so I wanted to learn about Tobacco. Here is what I had to do for 30 minutes. I had to read the questions that were on the reading card and answer them. I had a differnet mind set I wanted to ask teachers about my questions that were on the card. What Teachers Think About Tobacco

1. What is Tobacco? Cigarettes and it’s a drug Mrs Siale - Smokes & Cigarettes
2. What is nicotine? Mrs Halena - Poison for your body
3. What does the WHO estimate and what is predict?
4. What are three major health risks associated with smoking?( Mrs Faalili - Lung fathlery ,  Gangrene & heart fail ) Mrs Saieli - Lung problems, You can die Short breath - Mrs Halena - Heart attack, cancer & Diabetes
5. Why should smokers be at greater risk of dying from heart disease? Mrs Faalili - Idk  Mrs Siale - If your smoking then it can travel to your heart and blood system - Mrs Halena - Most is smoking because nicotine is blocking vein were blood cannot flow probably to heart .

What did you learn/enjoy/not enjoy about today’s work?

I learned that Tobacco is very dangerous for your health and the three MAJOR health problems where Lung

cancer, emphysema and heart disease.

I really enjoyed hearing what Mrs Siale, Mrs Faalili and Mrs Halena had to say about my questions I asked them.

I did not have anything work that I did not like today because I loved learning interesting facts about Tobacco.

My writing

This is my writing from 2 weeks ago, our teacher put a video on the t.v and it was about a little boy and a monster. After the whole class watched the video we had to make a story about our imaginary monster so here is my piece of writing.

It hit midnight in the litlle town called pennsylvania. I always had a dream of having a monster of having a monster while I was there, I wanted my monster to have large pointy teeth, sharp claws, green dark eyes and have a body like a wolf, also his name would me the Blood Hunter. If I wanted him to be real I would want him to stay in my dark creepy closet in my room next to my bed, so anytime I wanted to grab my shoes I would run always run away and ask my parents to open the door for me.

So my toes don't get bitten of by the Blood Hunter and never ever put my fingers near my expensive colourful shoes when their in the closet because the Blood Hunter might rip my fingers off and nibble on them for lunch. Later that evening I was watching t.v with my pet dog Snoopy, Snoopy and I were watching Zombie apocalypses. It was freaky beacuse it had dead people on trees with blood dripping from their mouths and eyes. We turned the t.v off and me and Snoopy ran fast as we could up the stairs.

We jumped right in to bed while Snoopy was just looking outside at the moon. Minutes later I heard loud snoring coming from the closet, I thought there was a monster in the closet. Then I laughed quietly and said to myself '' monsters are not real''. The snoring got really loud every few seconds, then BANG. The door slammed open quick like in a blink on an eye and it nearly made a hole in the wall. I quickly pulled the blanket up form the ground and coverd myself. Snoopy was going crazy like never before like he was possesed or hypnotised he was barking loud like a lion's ROAR and scratching the the wall until it ripped the shred.

ANZAC

Last week we were learning about ANZAC and I was working with Skyla we did some research about Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.Why he was famous  Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was born in 1881 in the former Ottoman Empire. As a young man, he was involved with the Young Turks, a revolutionary group that deposed the sultan in 1909. Ataturk led the Turkish War of Independence and signed the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923, which made Turkey a republic. Interesting facts about Mustafa.

• Mustafa Kemal was the Turkey's first president
• He is thr Trukish army leader for the world war 1
• He replaced the Arabic alphabet with a Latin one and introduced the Gregorian calendar to Turkey.
• The name Kemal came later. At 12 years old, Mustafa was sent to the military academy in Istanbul.

• He was born March 12, 1881, in Salonika, which was then known as part of the Ottoman Empire, today his birthplace is known as Thessalonika, in modern-day Greece.

Fun day!

On friday the 13th of april 2018,We are going to be having a  fun day at Glen Taylor school with our house colours. I am in taurere that mean the colour GREEN! Today I got house captain so I am very proud of myself and all the hard work I did to get this role. We will be wearing our house coloured T - shirts and we will not do any learning on friday. I reckon on friday they will sale sausage sizzle for $1.00, water for $2.00 and ice blocks for $1.00. We be having the time of our life to finsh the term of. We wil play games and have a water fight with everyone and have lot's of fun. Mr Faalili will be doing the music because he is our d.J in Glen Taylor.

My name is lexiannah and I go to the magnificent Glen Taylor school. I am 11 years old and I am a year 7. I enjoy playing sports like Basketball, Rugby league, Soft ball and VolleyballI am a samoan girl who loves to dance and sing also be very loud. My favourite things to do is baking and cooking for my family. I like to play fortnite with my brother even though he is better than me.

My favourite subject is maths because I can learn new skills .
I am inspired by my brother and dad because they help me when I struggle in my maths . I want to achieve this year is to always complete my work on time and always try my best and never give up on my dreams to be a basket ball player.
